Allan Pinkerton creates America's First Private Eye agency to track down and capture one of the country's most wanted criminals, Jesse James. As the Pinkerton Agency travels to Clay County, they encounter Jesse James' mother, Zerelda, and begin to weave a web of deception to bring the notorious outlaw back to Missouri under the guise of Oil Men in search of fortune.
