In a humble family in Sonora, the father has no choice but to borrow money from a mobster to try to free one of his sons from jail. Fausto, the eldest son, goes through many difficult situations on his way to the border, leaving his family behind. After not fulfilling his dream, he will have to return to his village to stop the injustices against his loved ones.
