Prescient

Theodore Meridian is a geneticist plagued by an enigmatic ability to see deaths that will befall his subjects within 24 hours. He has done everything he could to locate the "prescient gene" except publish his genome on the Universal Genome Program (a human genome project that acts as a public database of genetic traits) for fear that he will be discredited. One day, after advising his patient to avert a deadly shooting in a pharmacy, he discovers to his horror that his lover, Anna, is substituted as the victim. Guilt-stricken, he publishes his genome as his last resort to find the prescient gene. A month later, his world is rocked when he learns that Anna is in fact, still alive.
