Road to Boston

In 1936, Son Kee Jung (Ha Jung Woo) won the Marathon at the Berlin Olympic Games, with Nam Seung Ryong (Bae Sung Woo) claiming bronze, both forced to run under the Japanese flag during a humiliating moment for Korea. Decades later, following South Korea's independence, Son and Nam now coach the national running team, with Suh Yun Bok (Im Siwan) emerging as their most promising athlete. The team is determined to compete in the 1947 Boston Marathon, seeing it as an opportunity to represent their newly independent nation. As Suh prepares to race wearing the South Korean emblem, the entire country watches with hope and anticipation, wondering if he can achieve victory and national pride. This is a 2023 South Korean sports drama directed by Kang Je Gyu.
