Naomi, who lost all her sons, felt burdened with her two daughters-in-law. Ruth stayed with her while Orpah left to return to her family. Ruth ends up working for Boaz. Naomi realizes Boaz is her kinsman. She guides Ruth in proposing to Boaz by lying at his feet. Boaz must do the right thing before he can claim her hand in marriage.
