Vishwa and Bhadra lose their father to a woodcutting incident, while the unfortunate man was working for Sidappa, the village landlord. Thus, ensues a life of struggle with Vishwa working tirelessly for Sidappa while Bhadra being indifferent to the landlord’s clout.
