A beautiful and forlorn tree, stuck in the middle of a giant parking lot by the Rose Bowl in Pasadena is hit by cars and starved for water and oxygen. Drawn to the tree and outraged by the indignities that it endures, Joel Tauber falls in love with the tree and devotes himself to improving its life. To date 140 of this sycamore's 'tree babies' have been planted throughout Southern California.
