Tune-a-Meme, an Internet start up company founded by three friends, has gotten millions of followers because of a “crazy cat lady” named Judith. Marley, the CTO of the company, wants to contact Judith directly because she feels terrible that her company has been making money off of a confused old woman. Marcus and Pravi, the co-founders of Tune-a-Meme, warn Marley that contacting Judith could turn into a toxic mistake. When things go horribly wrong Marley turns to her new boyfriend Caleb for help. Faced with a problem that no one will believe but sure that a demon has entered the house where Marley, Marcus and Pravi live, Marley fights for her survival, ultimately learning that kindness is dangerous.
