The Enchanting Phantom

Nie Xiao Qian (Eleanor Lee), a female ghost bound to serve a cruel spirit that feeds on men's souls, encounters Ning Cai Chen (Chen Xing Xu), a pure-hearted apprentice scholar spending the night in an abandoned temple. Initially planning to seduce and sacrifice him, she becomes charmed by his quirky nature. As Ning learns her true identity and discovers the spirit's plan to marry her to an evil demon, he falls in love and resolves to save her from her terrible fate. Based on Pu Song Ling's novel and previously adapted in a 1987 Hong Kong film, "The Enchanting Phantom" is a 2020 Chinese supernatural romance directed by Lin Zhen Zhao.
