The Last Train
Two people take a journey together that forever changes their lives. Julien and his family scramble to get on a train in advance of the German troops invading Belgium. The cars are divided by need and Julien must place his family in one car while he occupies another. Once he has taken his place, Julien notices he is sitting next to a beautiful, but quiet young woman, Anna. As they steam down the tracks, Julien and Anna strike up a friendship and eventually much more. Amid the hurry to evade the Germans, the train is split and Julien's family advances without him. Julien and Anna take this opportunity to share their experiences, including the fact that Anna is Jewish and that she lost her husband two years prior. Once they arrive at their destination, Julien provides Anna with his wife's papers, not knowing if their lives will ever cross paths again.
