During the 1850s gold rush, Jim Martin, a San Francisco newspaper editor, wants to oust corrupt politician Andrew Cain. He enlists the help of his wealthy miner friend, who has no trouble sweeping Cain's girlfriend off of her feet for the perfect distraction.
