To Barcelona, With Love

Erica (Alison Sweeney), an American expat in Barcelona, makes a living translating novels. Though she secretly dreams of writing, she’s held back by self-doubt until she encounters Barcelona, Mi Amor, a romance novel that misses the mark on love and her beloved city. Frustrated by its inaccuracies, Erica revises it with her own flair, and it becomes a local hit. Nico, the bookstore owner Erica has long admired, has invited the author, Anna (Ashley Williams), to the Saint Jordi Festival for a book signing. He asks Erica to help Anna, causing Erica to worry how she can hide that she revised the book. As Anna suspects the truth, the women form an unlikely friendship as they help each other live authentically. Erica reveals her attraction to Nico and that she is the true writer of the book. Anna turns her love of food and adventure into a career as a social media food reviewer.
