In 1866 Wyoming, frontier scout Jim Bridger works to prevent conflict between the U.S. Army and the Sioux after the government plans to build on tribal land. Following a violent attack that escalates tensions, Jim faces mistrust, political pressure, and personal grief while trying to uncover the truth and establish peace before violence breaks out on the plains.
