In 1943, the German Army's 27th Armored Division, made up entirely of convicts, was promised leave and safe transfer to a unit if they succeeded in their mission. The men sneak behind enemy lines and succeed in blowing up the train, but their promise of amnesty is reneged on by a colonel who is not pleased with their return.
