Adam Bennett Schiff is an American lawyer, author, and politician serving as the junior United States senator from California, a seat he has held since 2024. A member of the Democratic Party, Schiff served 12 terms in the United States House of Representatives from 2001 to 2024 and was a member of the California State Senate from 1996 to 2000. Schiff graduated from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
