Xena and Gabrielle (Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor) have a busy day saving two villages, one threatened by a warlord (Willy De Wit) and the other by a giant (Jim Ngaata).

A jealous Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) casts a hex on Gabrielle's (Renee O'Connor) scroll, which causes everything she writes to come true.

Family and friends gather for Gabrielle's surprise birthday party only to become suspects in a murder investigation instead when a bounty hunter who is after Xena winds up dead. Discord, newly appointed as Goddess of Retribution, gives Xena until sunrise to find the killer or everyone she loves will be taken to the Underworld.

Three modern-day fans of Xena create clones of Xena and Gabrielle (Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor).
