Amanda Goodwin

Amanda Goodwin began her career as an actress, having starred in Lizzie Borden's controversial film entitled "Working Girls." A native of Los Angeles and a Theatre graduate of Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, New York, Goodwin returned to Los Angeles to continue her acting career, and went on to do roles in features and television. In 1994, Goodwin left acting and became an independent producer. While developing and setting up projects at the many studios, she began writing. After reading one of her screenplays, Director of Photography, Denis Maloney ("Moguls"; "The Contender"; "Bad Manners"; "The Winner"), encourage her to be a feature director. Putting his passion where his thoughts were, Ms. Goodwin and Mr. Maloney collaborated on a short film, "Conjecture," which she both wrote and directed.
