Andree Vermeulen

Comedian Andrée Vermeulen parlayed her talent for sketch comedy and improvisation into a wide variety of television projects, from the animated series "DreamWorks Dragons" (Cartoon Network/Netflix, 2012-) to the off-kilter police drama parody "Angie Tribeca" (TBS, 2016-). A talented stage comedian with a gift for eccentric characters and improvised freestyle rapping, Vermeulen was a house performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles, which led to appearances in its "UCB Comedy Originals" (YouTube, 2008-). From there, she became a staple of online comedy series and shorts for Funny Or Die and CollegeHumor, among other platforms, while also landing occasional appearances on network comedy series like "New Girl" (Fox, 2011-). In 2013, Vermeulen provided the voice for Ruffnut, the female half of short-fused fraternal twin Vikings, in the DreamWorks animated television series "DreamWorks Dragons" and its various short and limited series iterations. Actors Steve and Nancy Carell tapped Vermeulen to play an offbeat medical examiner, Dr. Monica Scholls, on the slapstick/absurdist comedy series "Angie Tribeca" the same year she joined a massive list of comic talent providing the voices of neurotic animals in the Duplass Brothers' HBO comedy "Animals." (2016-).
