Angelo Infanti

Angelo Infanti is an Italian film actor best known for his role as Fabrizio in the organized-crime saga "The Godfather." Born, in Zagarolo, Italy, Infanti amassed an impressive resume during a career that has spanned over 40 years in both the Italian and American film industries. Infanti appeared in several Italian films early in his career including "Four Dollars for Vengeance" in 1966. In 1971 he received a big break, appearing as one of the race car drivers in the Steve McQueen drama "Le Mans." This led to the most notable role of his career, as the treacherous Fabrizio in Francis Ford Coppola's Academy Award-winning "The Godfather" in 1972. Originally the protector of Michael Corleone when the future Mafia don hides out in Sicily, Frabizio later turns on his charge, setting up a car bomb that kills Michael's wife. Later that same year he played gangster Lucky Luciano in the film adaptation of "The Valachi Papers." Infanti worked extensively on television as well, appearing on shows like "Black Emanuelle" and the TV film "The Count of Monte Cristo." In 2010 he showed in "Letters to Juliet" as the chess player Lorenzo and continued to make frequent appearances in Italian television.
