Anna Demetrio

Anna Demetrio was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Demetrio's earliest roles were in film, including "Next Time We Love" (1936), the musical "Maytime" (1937) with Jeanette MacDonald and the western "Born to Be Wild" (1938) with Ralph Byrd. She also appeared in the George "Gabby" Hayes western "In Old Mexico" (1938). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the romance "The Texans" (1938) with Randolph Scott, "Law of the Pampas" (1939) and "The Llano Kid" (1939). She also appeared in the western "Young Buffalo Bill" (1940) with Roy Rogers. In the latter part of her career, she tackled roles in "The Big Store" (1941) with Groucho Marx, "Submarine Base" (1943) with John Litel and "Dragon Seed" (1944) with Katharine Hepburn. Demetrio more recently acted in "A Bell For Adano" (1945). Demetrio passed away in November 1959 at the age of 67.
