Arusha Irvine

Road Trip regular, Phil Serrell, takes a short trip into Kettering to hear the town’s unlikely connection with Jamaica. Arusha ‘Roo’ Irvine also takes a break from the shops to visit some vaults in Coventry where some incredibly precious silk is kept under lock and key. While he plays a safe bet with a mahogany breakfast table, Roo’s all at sea, gambling on an antique pond yacht.

New expert Arusha ‘Roo’ Irvine shares a 1976 Triumph Stag with auctioneer and legend Philip ‘Phil’ Serrell. Together they plot a course from rural Herefordshire to rural Worcestershire. Roo hopes a 300-year-old example of Georgian glass will earn her a profit. Phil calls on the help of his pet pooch to sniff out antiques, only to leave the shop with three canine collectibles in the bag.

Along the way they dig up a bit of coal mining musical history and find out which iconic London building was made from Yorkshire stone. Phil attempts to buy a horse despite a high asking price from its farmer owner. Roo picks up another piece of her favorite glassware.
