Rush reopens the 1945 case of the death of a female journalist at a Philadelphia newspaper. Upon learning that the victim left a note telling someone to meet her at the train station where she eventually died, Rush and the team investigate and discover that she was dating a man who claimed to be a Jew who escaped the Nazis and came to America.

When Gary and Allison realize they're acting the same as they did when they were married, it becomes clear that they need to establish new boundaries in their relationship.

Gary comes to terms with the news of his ex-wife's engagement, while trying to navigate fatherhood and a new love interest of his own.
