Brianne Howey

American actor, Brianne Howey is best known for her TV roles in "The Exorcist" (Fox, 2016-17), "I'm Dying Up Here" (Showtime, 2017-18), "The Passage" (Fox, 2019), and "Ginny & Georgia" (Netflix, 2020-). Born and raised in La Canada, California, just outside of Los Angeles, Howey grew up wanting a job that would take her around the world. It was for that reason that her girlhood dream was to become a flight attendant. By the time high school rolled around, however, Howey became obsessed with a new dream: to become an actress. She enrolled in New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. Upon graduating from NYU in 2011, Howey quickly made the leap into screen acting by nabbing guest spots on shows like "90210" (The CW, 2008-2013), "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-), and "The Middle" (ABC, 2009-2018). By 2013 Howey was nabbing recurring TV roles on shows like "Criminal Minds" (CBS, 2005-), "Twisted" (Freeform, 2013-14), and "Scream Queens" (Fox, 2015-16). Having already developed a solid body of work on the small screen, by the mid-2010s was ready to make her big screen debut. She eventually went on to land parts in Horrible Bosses 2" (2014), "Viral" (2016), and "XOXO" (2016). In 2016 Howey joined the cast of Fox's horror series "The Exorcist," and would later go on to nab parts on the Comedy Central sitcom "I Live with Models" (Comedy Central, 2015) and the Showtime '70s period drama "I'm Dying Up Here." With nearly a decade of professional screen acting work behind her, Howey landed the biggest break of her career in 2019 when she joined the cast of the Fox vampire series "The Passage." The series, which was adapted from a best-selling trilogy of novels by Justin Cronin, was met with eager anticipation upon its premiere in January of 2019. However, the network cancelled the show after its first season due to declining ratings. In addition to appearing in the film "Plus One," she also nabbed a small recurring role as Regan on the superhero series "Batwoman" (Arrowverse, 2019-). Furthermore, in late 2019 it was announced that Howey would be starring alongside Antonia Gentry in the Netflix young adult series "Ginny & Georgia." Howey played the eponymous Georgia on the series, which premiered on the streaming network in 2020.
