Catherine Michaud

Catherine Michaud was a Canadian actress who starred in romance film "La fille du Martin" (2013). She was born in Quebec City but raised in Ottawa. Michaud showed an early interest in the performing arts and enrolled in the Vancouver Film School, graduating in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she was seen in a pair of Canadian short films, "Prophet" (2011) and the horror-themed "Zombies of Oz: Tin" (2012). Michaud's first appearance in a television show was on an episode of Canada's police procedural drama "Motive" (CTV 2013-). In 2013, two feature-length films featured the young Canadian actress. "Cinemanovels" (2013), a comedy film which starred Jennifer Beals, featured Michaud in a small role. Next, she landed her first starring role in the romantic film "La fille du Martin," written, directed, and produced by fellow Vancouver Film School graduate Samuel Thivierge. Michaud played a young woman named Sara Leblanc who started an unexpected romance with a boy from her childhood. The film was well received when it premiered in the 2013 Montreal World Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Zenith Award. In the same year, Michaud made her American television debut in ABC's fantasy series "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" (ABC 2013-14) as the wife of the famed "Beowulf" monster Grendel.
