Charles Pitts

Charles Pitts's smooth style and musical talent as a blues artist gave him success as an entertainer. Pitts worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Greetings" with Jonathan Warden (1968), "Love and Kisses" (1970) and "Super Vixens" with Shari Eubank (1974). He also contributed to "The Girl Most Likely To. ." (ABC, 1973-74). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies and the nineties, appearing in the action flick "Death Threat" (1976) with William Smith and the Nina Petronzio biopic "Vincent and Me" (1991). Pitts was most recently credited in "Take Me to the River" (2014). In the early 2000s, Pitts lent his talents to projects like "Hustle & Flow" (2005) starring Terrence Howard, "Black Snake Moan" with Samuel L. Jackson (2007) and "Soul Men" (2008) starring Samuel L. Jackson. Pitts passed away in May 2012 at the age of 65.
