Dr. Sloan's day begins with a phone call from a kidnapper who happened to dial the wrong number - his! The kidnapper believes he's called the original victim, Dan Edelman, and demands that Dr. Sloan deliver five hundred thousand dollars at a specific place and time if he wants to see his son alive again. Concerned, Dr. Sloan pleads with Steve to contact his former lover and FBI agent, Kathryn Wately to research if anyone has reported a recent kidnapping. Dr. Sloan's eagerness to save a life turns deadly when his presence threatens the kidnappers.
