Dan Shea

Actor and stunt coordinator Dan Shea is best known to science fiction buffs for his portrayal of the upright Sgt. Siler on the popular television shows "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate: Atlantis." Shea began as a stunt performer and a stunt coordinator during the mid 1990s, working in both television and film, but soon he was motivated to let the camera see his face as well as his impressive physique. While Shea would continue doing stunt work throughout the early 21st century (most notably in such big-budget blockbusters as "I, Robot," "Fantastic Four," and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"), he also began taking on less physically demanding acting roles as well. His most notable on-screen role came courtesy of the cult favorite science-fiction series "Stargate SG-1" and its sequel "Stargate: Atlantis," where he portrayed the stalwart engineer Sgt. Siler between 1998 and 2007. Post-"Stargate SG-1," Shea has continued to steadily lock up jobs in movie and television, including behind-the-scenes work as the stunt coordinator on the quirky cop drama "Psych."
