Daphne Dale

Daphne Dale was a British ballet dancer. Daphne Dale was born in Nairobi, Kenya. Initially training as a dancer in Kenya, she moved to London to study under Grace Cone and Olive Ripman. Dale and a number of other dancers from the Cone-Ripman school joined the newly formed Festival Ballet, founded by Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin. While the company was touring the United States, Dale married another Festival Ballet dancer, Nicholas Polajenko, in Los Angeles.
