Derek Godfrey

British actor Derek Godfrey showed his talent on the Hollywood big screen, appearing in a long line of successful films. Godfrey began his career with roles in the Leslie Caron drama "Guns of Darkness" (1962), "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1969) and "Hands of the Ripper" (1971). He then acted in the Charlton Heston adaptation "Julius Caesar" (1971), the Vincent Price fantasy "The Abominable Doctor Phibes" (1971) and "Jesus of Nazareth" (1976-77). He also appeared in "The Pallisers" (PBS, 1976-77). Later in his career, Godfrey appeared in "The Tempest" (PBS, 1979-1980). Godfrey passed away in June 1983 at the age of 59.
