Longtime barber, Jay Weaver, is in for the surprise of his life when he meets Kenny Clark - the son he never knew he had.

Jay receives a "Dear Jay" letter from his ex-wife Nadine stating that she has deserted her beauty salon and eloped with a wealthy gentleman. Kenny breaks the barber code and starts cutting the hair of one of Smitty's customers behind his back.

Kenny's past comes back to haunt him when an old flame reappears with a girl who may or may not be his daughter. Meanwhile, Smitty starts dating Jay's ex and jealousy runs rampant.

A misunderstanding following a routine check-up leads Kenny and Jay's ex-wife, Nadine, to believe Jay is dying. When everyone starts treating him well, Jay thinks that they're plotting to kill him!
