Doug Kershaw was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Kershaw started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the John Rubinstein musical "Zachariah" (1970) and "Medicine Ball Caravan" (1971). He had an early role on the television special "I Believe in Music" (NBC, 1973-74). Kershaw worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Dean Martin Presents Music Country, U.S.A." (NBC, 1972-73). He also landed a role in the miniseries "The Chisholms" (1978-79). Additionally, he later acted in the Richard Gere drama "Days of Heaven" (1978). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Mary's Incredible Dream" (CBS, 1975-76) and "Constantinople" (ABC, 1976-77). Kershaw's music was most recently used in "Venom" (2005) with Agnes Bruckner. In the eighties, Kershaw lent his talents to projects like "Country Comes Home" (CBS, 1980-81), "Heaven's Gate" (1980) and "Final Cut" (1985). His credits also expanded to "Cajun Country" (The Nashville Network, 1989-1990).
