Edward Kerr

Moving to Los Angeles in 1990 after graduating from Vanderbilt University, Midwest-born actor Edward Kerr landed plenty of commercial work before getting a role in the torrid miniseries "The Secrets of Lake Success" in 1993. The next year, he jumped aboard the second season of the science fiction television show "SeaQuest 2032," playing Lt. James Brody, and stayed for two seasons before it was canceled. In 1995, he landed a major part opposite Christopher Reeve and Joe Mantegna in the suspense thriller "Above Suspicion" and a few years later starred in the horror thriller "The Astronaut's Wife," with Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron. Neither film catapulted him into more high-profile big screen work, but his career on the small screen flourished. In the cable drama "Legalese," he gained good notices for his role as an inexperienced attorney. He was a regular on the short-lived David Kelly-produced detective series "Snoops," appeared in an episode of "Sex and the City," and starred in the program "Three Sisters." He also appeared on the WB teen show "What I Like About You" in a regular part as Jennie Garth's boyfriend, Rick.
