Dead in the Water
Jesse and Susan are on their way to Mount Carmel for a romantic getaway weekend, but detour to a fishing town when their car breaks down. They grab a bite at the local diner when Susan sees a man she used to know. Susan proceeds to say hello, but the man spots her and dashes into the crowded street leaving Susan in shock and despair. Later, Susan confesses to Jesse that the man is Greg Hutchins, a professional diver and her ex-fiancé. For the past five years, Susan believed Hutchins to be dead when their car went over the cliff into the ocean and his body was never recovered. Susan finally tracks him down at the diner again looking for answers to his death" without much success. Meanwhile, when Jesse asks Dr. Sloan to pull Susan's medical file on the crash, photos of the accident reveal that Hutchins saved Susan's life and staged his own death. Moreover, Hutchins was arrested two months before he "died" for trafficking in unclaimed stolen goods.
