Eliza Schneider

Eliza Schneider is a multi-talented musician, performance artist, singer-songwriter, actress, and voice actress for animated shows, among other things. After appearing at a rather young age on the short-lived live-action series "The Amazing Live Sea Monkeys," Schneider quickly developed the talent and shrewd instincts needed to survive in show business. Her most recognizable television work was on the anarchic, entertainingly rude animated program "South Park," providing many of the female voices on the show after the suicide of Mary Kay Bergman in 1999. Among the South Park characters she brought to life before leaving the show due to a contract dispute were Wendy Testaburger (a self-righteous student and Eric Cartman's nemesis), Sharon Marsh (Stan's mother), Liane Cartman (Eric's mother), and Mayor McDaniels (South Park's elected official). Schneider's other voice work also tends toward the dialectical and just plain bizarre, with turns on the droll and Texas-set "King of the Hill," the oddball-pet farce "Squirrel Boy" and the comedically paranoid alien-invasion animation "Invader ZIM." In addition to occasionally appearing in live-action roles on projects such as the sassy sitcom "Girlfriends," she featured in the narrative documentary "Unspeakable," an investigation into why the director Sally Heckel's father committed suicide years before. Schneider also works as a dialectologist, teaching other performers proper accents for their stage and screen roles.
