Ernest Hilliard

Ernest Hilliard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Hilliard appeared in such films as "Evidence" (1922), "The Fighting Failure" (1926) and "Broadway After Midnight" (1927). He also appeared in "The Big Hop" (1928) and "The Matinee Idol" (1928). His film career continued throughout the twenties in productions like the dramatic adaptation "The Noose" (1928) with Richard Barthelmess, "Broadway Hoofer" (1929) and "Dynamite" (1929). He also appeared in "The Big Diamond Robbery" (1929). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "Wall Street" (1929), "Mother and Son" (1931) and "Racing Luck" (1935). He also appeared in the western "The Boss Rider of Gun Creek" (1936) with Buck Jones. Hilliard more recently acted in the horror movie "The Soul of a Monster" (1944) with Rose Hobart. Hilliard passed away in September 1947 at the age of 57.
