Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, young Cora is duped by a man claiming to be a prince and finds herself alone and pregnant. But a chance meeting with a real prince could lead Cora to the royal life she's always craved, but she must keep her pregnancy a secret or risk losing everything.

The body of Steve, husband of Jennifer's client Anne, was found on the beach. Steve, a company executive, was an avid surfer who frequently visited the beach. Detective Lynwood stated that the police would likely treat it as an accident while surfing, but Anne was convinced her husband's death was not simply drowning.

Jennifer, who runs an antique shop, stops by her friend Kate's garage sale while touring others. She advises Kate, who is unfamiliar with pricing, and makes plans for lunch before heading to the next sale. However, suspecting that the thief reported in the newspaper is a regular at garage sales, Jennifer asks Detective Iverson to accompany her as she investigates. When the autopsy revealed massive nicotine intake as the direct cause of death, Jennifer realized it resembled a murder method from a novel she'd read before, but she couldn't remember which book it was.

One day, two women came to the store looking for vintage coats. Dani imagined the jacket worn by country singer John Dalton, whom she adored. But to her surprise, they were Lita, a member of John's band, and Cassiey, his costume designer. When Dani told them she was a huge fan, Jennifer and Dani were invited to come see the soundcheck.
