Fernando Fernán Gómez

Fernando Fernan-Gomez was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Fernan-Gomez appeared in such films as "Vida en sombras" (1948), "Los Gallos de la Madrugada" (1971) and "Vera" (1973). He also appeared in "Ana Y Los Lobos" (1973) with Geraldine Chaplin, "The Spirit of the Beehive" (1973) and "El Amor del Capitan Brando" (1974). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in "Tin Soldiers" (1983), "Feroz" (1984) and "Stico" (1984). He also appeared in "Los Zancos" (1984). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Marcellino Pane e Vino" (1992), "Mi General" (1992) and "La Noche Mas Hermosa" (1992) with José Sacristán. He also appeared in "The Absence" (1993) with Jeanne Moreau and "Belle Epoque" (1994). Fernan-Gomez last acted in the Veronica Sanchez romantic comedy "Mia Sarah" (2007). Fernan-Gomez passed away in November 2007 at the age of 86.
