Doc Holliday blocks access to an oil pit in a scheme to sell the substance for medical use, stirring up trouble with travelers and causing Kate to side with Earp in finding a solution to the problem before guns start firing.

A runaway girl is found by Mr. Cousin but when Earp investigates the family who adopted her, he decides she should not be returned to it. He decides to try to buy her release from them but may be forced to marry her to gain her freedom.
