Helen Stenborg

Helen Joan Stenborg was an American actress of stage, screen, and television. She occasionally acted with her husband, actor Barnard Hughes, to whom she was married for 56 years from 1950 until his death in 2006; they had two children.

While investigating a shooting on the shores of the Hudson River, a NYPD diver fishes up a 1968 Volkswagen bus with a young man's remains, including a skull with a gunshot hole. Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) reopen a case that has long been closed and end up investigating controversial university protests from the 1960s. When new evidence and suspects surface, Assistant District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) realize they strike a sore nerve with the Bureau of Special Services.
