Hwang Dong-hyuk

Hwang Dong-hyuk is a South Korean filmmaker known for writing and directing the crime drama film Silenced and creating the Netflix survival drama series Squid Game. He won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series in 2022 for directing the Squid Game episode "Red Light, Green Light", making him the first South Korean to win an Emmy in that category.
