Jan Smithers

Jan Smithers was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Smithers began her career with roles in "Love Story" (1973-74), "Where the Lilies Bloom" (1974) and the Scott Jacoby comedy "Our Winning Season" (1978). She went on to act in "WKRP in Cincinnati" (1978-1982), "Battle of the Network Stars VII" (ABC, 1979-1980) and "The Love Tapes" (ABC, 1979-1980). She also appeared in "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996) and "The Columnist" (ABC, 1984-85). Later in her career, Smithers acted in "Mr. Nice Guy" (1987). Smithers's husband was James Brolin.

Spaced Out

On location in a small town, Colt, Howie, Jody and Terri are dumbfounded when they witness the landing of a UFO that not only relieves the local bank of all its money but abducts Jody as well. When Colt and Howie further investigate the incident, they are able to track the supposed spaceship back to a local gold mine where it has been dismantled. When Danny Symes, a fellow stuntman, tries to frame Colt for the extraterrestrial bank heist, Colt sets out to prove his innocence.
