Janae Bakken
Janae Bakken began writing during the pilot season of the single-camera comedy series "Scrubs" (2001-2010). She spent eight years writing and became co-executive producer her last two seasons on the show. She was nominated two times for an Emmy Award along with the other "Scrubs" writer-producers and won Humanitas and Peabody Awards for their work. She spent four years as a co-executive producer on Freeform's comedy "Baby Daddy" (2011-2017). She also worked on "Anger Management" (2011-2013), "Gary Unmarried" (2008-2010) as well as an episode of "Malcolm in the Middle" (1999-2006) that she sold while an assistant. Bakken served as executive producer and writer of the third and fourth seasons of the Netflix drama "Greenhouse Academy" (2017-2021). In addition, Bakken has sold several television pilots to ABC, Disney Channel, MRC, Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers. She has also been an adjunct professor at Northwestern University, teaching television writing to Master of Fine Arts students.
