Jason Danieley

Jason Danieley

The son of a Baptist minister, Danieley began performing in public as a toddler, singing in the church choir at age four. While still in high school, the St Louis native made his professional debut singing in a country & western musical revue at a theme park. After graduating from Southern Illinois University's theater program, Danieley landed roles in productions of "Evita," "Fiddler on the Roof" and "The Phantom of the Opera." He spent nearly a year touring Europe in "Hair" where he first became comfortable with onstage nudity. By 1994, the young actor-singer had landed in New York City and made his Off-Broadway debut in "Hit the Deck." Between his stints in "Floyd Collins" in 1994 and 1996, Danieley headlined the Goodspeed Opera House revival of "Strike Up the Band" (1995), for which he earned good notices. Having impressed as the innocent "Candide," the actor landed the role in "The Full Monty" in which he stopped the show with the number "Big Ass Rock."
