A gang of "strippers" is on the loose: a band of men who go around stripping cars of various parts. Jon and Ponch are baffled as the parts being stolen are not showing up in the usual places. The operation is a slick one: the culprits strip the cars of all their parts, then buy the chassis at an auction and reassemble the car. They own it then sell it for new, legally. All of this segues into Jon and Ponch's skill at sky-diving, and they're able to crack down on a heroin ring that flies the drug into the U.S. from Mexico.

The Beach Boy arrives in L.A. from Hawaii and begins to kill local drug dealers. Hunter and McCall have to figure out his next move before another victim is claimed.

Streetwise Detective David Starsky partners up with a more intellectual partner, Kenneth 'Hutch' Hutchinson, to protect citizens and patrol the streets of Bay City. They get their inside information from flamboyant bad-boy Huggy Bear and spar with their no-nonsense boss, Capt. Harold Dobey.

Crowley and Pepper pursue a man suspected of raping and murdering four female hitchhikers; guests Rich Little, Audrey Landers.
