Jay Benedict

Jay Benedict was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Benedict landed roles in various films, including "Licensed to Love and Kill" (1978) starring Gareth Huntthe action movie "Hanover Street" (1979) with Harrison Ford and "The Mine and the Minotaur" (1980). He also appeared in the dramatic comedy "Victor/Victoria" (1982) with Julie Andrews, the Pia Zadora drama "The Lonely Lady" (1983) and the Tony Curtis comedy "Where Is Parsifal?" (1984). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing in the Jean-Claude van Damme action picture "Double Team" (1997), "RKO 281" (1999) with Liev Schreiber and the dramedy "Saving Grace" (2000) with Brenda Blethyn. He also appeared in the Gérard Depardieu dramatic adaptation "Vatel" (2000). Benedict worked on the comedy "American Hero" (2015) with Stephen Dorff. Jay Benedict died on April 4, 2020 in London at the age of 68.
