Down Among the Dead Men
To Steve, Jesse and Amanda's embarrassment, Dr. Sloan rehearses with a swing band at BBQ Bob's as he prepares for a benefit dance for the children's bum unit at the hospital. But the mood of gaiety quickly transforms into a tone of horror when a burst of gunfire shatters the windows wounding the restaurant's patrons. Immediately Dr. Sloan and his team set up a triage area while Steve is on the move to track down the villains. With former colleague detective Tanis Archer, Steve discovers these armed and armored gunman have robbed the mall's jewelry store. Determined Steve locates and wounds one of the gunman with a gunshot to the leg while the other robbers speed away. Surprisingly, when Steve prepares to arrest the culprit, Lew Nestor, he finds him dead with a bullet wound to the head. More strange is the mysterious note Steve finds on his car warning of this event one minute before it occurred.
