Jeff Pierre

Jeff Pierre was an actor and musician best known for his work on "Shameless" as Ian's firefighter boyfriend. Born and raised in Haiti, Pierre moved to the Bay Area after surviving the 2010 earthquake that leveled a major portion of the country. Pierre went on to graduate from San Francisco's School of the Arts, where he majored in instrumental music. Trained by his mother since the age of three, Pierre played traditional Haitian percussion, performing both in Haiti and the U.S. Pierre began his acting career in 2014 on the long-running "CSI: Crime Scene Investigations" (2000) in a small role. He went on to star in the VH1 original movie "Drumline: A New Beat" (2014) as Tyree, the cousin of the lead, Alexandra Shipp, who helps support her drumline dreams. His first appearance on the big screen was in the Todd Phillips action comedy "War Dogs" (2016), starring Jonah Hill. From there, Pierre went on to play his breakout role, Caleb, the firefighting boyfriend of Ian Gallagher in the outrageous comedy drama "Shameless" (2011) on Showtime. In 2017, he was cast in the mysterious science-fiction drama "Beyond" (2017), about a boy who wakes up from a 12-year-long coma to discover the he has gained supernatural abilities.
