Jesse Lee Brooks made his mark in the world of entertainment when he worked on the Clarence Muse drama "Broken Strings" (1940). In 1937, he made his film debut in "Dark Manhattan." In 1941, he had his best-known role as a preacher in "Sullivan's Travels." In 1945, he played his final film role in "The Lost Weekend."
