John Milhiser

John Milhiser's internet savvy and gift for physical comedy perfectly suited him to the modern comedy world. Though best known for being a "Saturday Night Live" (NBC 1975-) cast member, he already had many viral videos and a hit Youtube channel to his credit before the casting. Milhiser grew up in tiny Belle Mead, NJ. He graduated from Hofstra University in 2004 with a degree in film studies and production. In 2007, he helped found the comedy group Serious Lunch alongside various artists, writers, and comedians. The group posted its videos on YouTube, though they also appeared on Cracked.com, CollegeHumor, and Break.com. One of its most popular videos starred Milhiser as a distracting "bad boy" and Ellie Kemper of "The Office" (NBC 2005-2013) as a smitten classmate, silently and hilariously bickering during a math class. Milhiser joined the improv troupe the Upright Citizens Brigade, a spawning ground for SNL stars, in 2009. He performed with many of the Brigade's sketch troupes while also appearing on shows like "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" (NBC 2009-2014) and "It's On With Alexa Chung" (MTV 2009-). In 2013, he was cast in the 39th season of SNL, where his celebrity impressions ranged from Jon Cryer to Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong.
