Julie Janney

Julie Janney was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. Janney kickstarted her acting career in comedies like "Popeye" (1980) with Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall and the Tom Hanks blockbuster "Sleepless in Seattle" (1993). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "Ellen" (1993-98). In the nineties, she acted in the dramatic adaptation "One True Thing" (1998) with Meryl Streep and the dramatic adaptation "Music of the Heart" (1999) with Meryl Streep. Janney had a number of different projects under her belt in the early 2000s, including "James Dean" (TNT, 2000-01), "Scream 3" with Neve Campbell (2000) and "Adaptation" (2002). Her credits also expanded to the Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep blockbuster "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" (2004). Janney most recently worked on the Robert Redford drama "Lions for Lambs" (2007).
